Abstract

Hyperaudio is new way of interacting with audio, it’s an open media that takes audio and integrates it fully with the web for a much richer experience.

In this talk we look at how we can closely tie audio with other web page elements. We look at making audio more searchable, shareable, navigable and accessible. We show how audio transcription and accurate timings can create very intuitive solutions and touch on how can add meta-data to the equation.

We’ll see a variety of working demos that have been created for globally renowned radio programs and take a look at the tools that are being created to allow anybody to start creating Hyperaudio solutions.

Finally, the various applications of Hyperaudio will be explored including the industries and disciplines that can benefit from this new and compelling technology.
